Binzuru (Pindola), Wood, Edo Period, 18TH cent.  Pindola was one of the sixteen arahats, who were disciples of the budha. Pindola is said to have excelled in the mastery of the occult powers. It is commonly believed in Japan that when a person rubs a part of the image of Binzuru and then rubs his corresponding part of his own body, his ailment there will disappear.

Attikon Cinema R.I.P 1870-2012  As hooded youths torched shops and battled police in the streets of Athens on Sunday, lawmakers approved a tough austerity package that is expected to help the country avoid default.  During the demonstrations last night the historical beautiful cinema was burned to death.
